About this position

Utilize AutoCAD, ArchiCAD and other computer-assisted drafting systems to produce plans and detailed drawings for residential and commercial construction and renovation projects. Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs. Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data. Explain architectural plans and drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary. Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visit job sites to compile measurements as necessary. Prepare cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents, and technical reports for specific architectural projects.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Architecture. Two-year work experience in residential and commercial renovation/construction projects. Skills in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite.
